We had a really nice lunch at Casa Tradição today. The menu offers both a tasting option and à la carte, and we decided to share a few different dishes to try more of what they offer. We started with the Chicken Liver Toast — a mix of liver, strawberry, blue cheese, and hazelnuts that worked really well. Followed by the Portuguese cabbage, served with a kimchi-style sauce that gave it a great kick. After that we really enjoyed the poached egg with peas, too — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The absolute highlight, though, was the grilled beef bone. The meat was incredibly tender and just fell off the bone — really delicious. The wine pairings were spot on. The waiter gave excellent recommendations, and each glass matched the dish perfectly. The place wasn’t very busy, which surprised us considering the quality. Definitely a place we’d recommend if you’re in Lisbon and enjoy food with a bit of a twist.
