The food and the music were incredible! I can’t recommend it enough 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
This was the biggest scam of our whole 2 week trip abroad. We paid $75 euro for a piece of cake and two glasses of wine with 10 mins of Fado. And we had to asked to be served our wine- in Portugal! We should have turned around when only two tables had people at them and one was full of the band. Zero atmosphere and we could hear energetic crowds from other fado bars across the ally. Ask a local go anywhere else.

After having visited various Fado restaurants in Lisbon but also Coimbra I can say the following:
It is definitely the chicest place with the most ambitious kitchen which I enjoyed because mostly food is more mediocre at these places.
You also have space between tables - normally it is just packed with people.

The performance though is a bit mixed: 3 songs between courses and no room to develop atmosphere which often is the case. Also some more context to the songs, which also happens often, could have been helpful for those who don’t speak the language.
Generally though I liked this fresh approach and can highly recommend.

I wish I could say this was a good experience, but having attended other Fado performances in Lisbon, this one felt quite disappointing — especially for the price.

We paid €60 per person for a three-course meal, which was just okay. The wine was good and our waiter was kind, which were the highlights.

Unfortunately, the Fado itself was underwhelming. The three performers — a singer and two guitarists — gave the impression they’d rather be anywhere else. After each song, they returned to a table at the front of the restaurant and spent the time on their phones until the next set. This lack of engagement really detracted from the sense of intimacy and reverence that Fado is known for.

The venue itself is large with high ceilings, which made it difficult to create any sort of cosy atmosphere. It also didn’t help that there were very few people there on a Thursday evening, which added to the awkwardness.

Overall, it didn’t feel like an authentic Fado experience, and at this price point, I simply can’t recommend it.

One word to describe the total situation from my side: trap tourist !!
20 euro for the “fado show” and the singer is just singing 3 songs every one hour with multiple breaks between the songs ..
This results in a total of 12 songs for 4 hours. Normally a good singer sings for 2-3 hours straight and does not pause for water and discussion.
Therefore with one bottle of water and a glass of a wine (which was not the one that we wanted) we paid 40 euro for 20 minutes .
I should not forget that the waiter just spilled the red wine on our clothes .
My proposal guys spend your money somewhere else or to another fado that we visited where we listened at least 10 songs straight !

Unacceptable! The singer sang 3 fados for less than 10 minutes and we had to pay an entrance ticket for 20 euros per person and the wine extra. We had to wait for 45 minutes until the singer emerged again. Terrible experience!

A show of 10 min and 3 songs every 45 minutes which costs 20 euro excluding food and drinks … !
Terrible experience, not worthy at all the money.

We went there to see Fado. If you don't eat, they charge 20€ to enjoy the show and it was really nice.

As much as I wanted to write a great review, I also need to be honest. I’ll start with the good. The atmosphere is wonderful, as is the decor. The live fado music was outstanding. They put on a great show.
Now the not-so-good. The service was beginner level. Our server did not even know how to correctly open a bottle of wine. In Portugal, at the price we paid for dinner/wine/show, this is unforgivable. The manger had to jump in an help after she broke the cork. The food was below mediocre, and possibly the least memorable meal we had during our 2 weeks in Lisbon. However, it was definitely the most expensive meal we had during this time: €550 for 6 people.
If you want to see great fado music in a lovely venue, this is a nice place.

I am so glad we chose this Fado spot for our introduction to the moving music. And while the Fado was certainly the star of the show, (I teared up it was so beautiful!), the service was impeccable, and the food was some of the best we had during our trip.

Food highlights — aka, all our dishes
-tempura asparagus. So good! Fun fact, tempura originated in Portugal.
- beef tartare
-duck dish
-croakerfish
-whiskey chocolate dessert
-Apple pie

Please, do yourself a favor and dine here for your fado experience. We loved how intimate the venue was, how attentive the staff were, and how delicious the food was.
